Title card for the film "Really Good! Fresh Jerky" by Cami Buckman, with black background and yellow text.

Really Good! Fresh Jerky is an independent documentary about this iconic jerky shack, and its uncertain future after the highway reroute. It’s a story about family, small towns, and the worlds you pass when you don’t stop to pull over.

I’m Cami, the film’s director, and like many of you I grew up stopping at Gus’ Jerky on the way to Mammoth. So when I found out the store appeared closed, I had to know why. That question turned into a year-long journey and a film that’ll make you laugh, cry, and fall in love with this slice of California.

If you liked this sticker and quiz, then you'll love this film. We need your help finishing it.

Filming is done, and now we need support funding the post production. Even $5 helps us bring this story to life.
